The Three Magi are celebrated foreigners who symbolize unity, particularly for Hispanic cultures of Christian tradition. As the story goes, Melchior, Gaspar, and Balthasar, travelled far West – guided by a star and their belief in something greater – to bear gifts to the Messiah at his birth. Historically, religious revelation has been coded with geometry, linking the divine to the terrestrial. Thus, a compositional play of sacred elementary shapes – circle, square, and triangle – endow each Wise Man with their own distinctive character. This design celebrates the Three Kings as noble symbols of faith in the unknown, cultural diversity, and social unity. Each object is carefully polished and sanded to contrast the finish of each crown.
